New Fall Litter!

We have a new batch of baby rats (three litters, in fact), comprising of 23 pups! We've been busy holding all of them and making sure they're socialized. They are finally ready to go to their new homes. They are $5 each (except for one dumbo that is $10, and two "special" babies that are free!). Rats are very social and do best in groups, so make sure you have at least two rats.

Here's the process: Email me with your request of which rats you would like: rexburgrats @ gmail.com (take out those spaces). I will put your name on them so other interested parties know they're not available. I will send you my address and you pick them up. It's simple!

SPECIAL RATS (free to a good home)

HOME! RESERVED FOR KELSEY! Nash, the One-Eyed Pirate: male, black, berkshire (free!)
Our special little Nash lost one eye when he was 14 days old. We think his mother stepped on his face and scratched his eye. It's all healed closed and he's perfectly healthy now. Rats have poor vision anyway, so having only one eye doesn't affect his abilities at all. He acts completely normally and doesn't seem to know he only has one eye. He gets treats constantly and has turned into an adorably chubby baby boy. We love him so much and hope he can find a good home.

HOME! RESERVED FOR LILLIAN! Dumbledora (AKA Stumpy): female, agouti, capped, blazed (free!)
This miracle baby was lucky to survive birth. She stalled her mother's labor by several hours and we were worried we would lose them both. She was eventually born and both survived, but she was born with the fingers on her hand severely bruised. The fingers ceased growing, and they shriveled up (like Dumbledore, from Harry Potter). So she still has her wrist, but no fingers. She behaves just like any other rat, climbing on the bars of her cage, picking up her food, and grooming herself. She's probably our friendliest rat, though, because we've been monitoring her development, so she's been held more than most babies.

Cinco de Mayo litter!

All these babies have found their homes. Thanks so much!

This brand new litter was born a little before Cinco de Mayo. They're $5 each and they'll be ready to go home on May 30th. They've been held constantly from the moment they were born and they will make the most wonderful pets. Rats are really social, so they always need to have a rat companion. If you currently don't have any rats, take two (or more)! If you have rats already, you can always add a youngster to your community.

Email me if you'd like one (or two or three) of these cuties! RexburgRats @ gmail.com (take out the spaces)

HOME! {Reserved for Lexis}  - Female. Gloria is a capped agouti. Isn't she a cutie?

HOME! Rosarita - Female. Rosarita is a hooded chocolate agouti.

HOME! Lupe - Female. Lupe is a berkshire agouti.

HOME! Lola - Female. Lola is a berkshire agouti, but she has more white on her belly than Lupe.

HOME! {Reserved for Lexis} Carmen - Female. Carmen is a berkshire agouti. She has big splotches of white on her sides.

HOME! {Reserved for Emily} Diego - Male. Diego is capped and black with little spots down his back. He's also got the tiniest star on his forehead.

New litter, born April 4th!

UPDATE: All these sweet ratties have found awesome homes.

We have a new litter of rats! They are $5 to a good home. They were all handled daily from the moment they were born and are friendly and curious. They will make excellent pets! Remember that rats are highly social, so they should always have a cage-mate. If you don't already have rats at home, make sure to take two rats from me. And if you already have rats at home, the babies will fit right in.

If you're interested or have questions, email me at RexburgRats @ gmail.com (remove the spaces).

HOME! {Reserved for Kailey} Adrian - male (agouti, berkshire). Adrian, with the heart on his belly is the sweetest. An absolute favorite around here.

HOME! {Reserved for Jackie and Kylie} Alfred - male (agouti, berkshire). Alfred is our little clumsy boy. He has so much energy, but almost no coordination. He keeps us laughing.

HOME! {Reserved for Jackie and Kylie} Jack - male (agouti, berkshire). Jack is our biggest boy. He's super friendly and loves attention.

HOME! {Reserved for Kailey} Linus - male (agouti, berkshire). Linus is our smallest boy and our most patient. He'll sit quietly in your hand for a long time.

HOME! {Reserved for Lexi} Angus - male (black, berkshire). Angus is beloved. He's probably been held more than any other rat in the history of ever.

HOME! {Reserved for Lexi} Arthur - male (fawn, hooded). Arthur is always looking for fun (and treats!).

HOME! {Reserved for Lexi} Milton - male (chocolate agouti, hooded). Milton is playful and sweet, but can sleep through almost anything.

HOME! Deirdre - female (agouti, hooded). Deirdre is a classic beauty. She's also very clever and cunning.

HOME! {Reserved for Nikki} Sally - female (chocolate agouti, capped with spot and star). Oh, what a sweet, shy girl Sally is. We just love her!

HOME! {Reserved for Maddie} Starla - female (agouti, capped with star). Starla is spoiled, spoiled, spoiled. This girl gets anything she wants.

HOME! {Reserved for Ada} Lucy - female (fawn, capped). Lucinda is always looking to be held. She is too cute!

HOME! {Reserved for Ada} Dandelion - female (fawn, berkshire). Dandelion loves to be held and ride around on your shoulder.

HOME! {Reserved for Nikki} Martha - female (beige, berkshire). Martha loves to sleep. She's a good sport, though, when you wake her up to take her picture.

HOME! Minerva - female (fawn, berkshire). Minerva is so sweet and cuddly! Seriously a charmer.

Beautiful Litter Born January 30th

UPDATE: All ten of these babies have gone to their homes.

These baby rats are $5 to a good home. They'll be weaned and ready to go on February 27th. They're held and played with every day and will make wonderful pets. We had four females and six males. Rats are social and do best in groups of two or more, so please consider taking a pair in order to avoid a solitary pet rat.

A new litter, born January 30th

We had ten adorable (I know, it's a debatable term) baby rats born on Friday (four females, six males). Don't worry. I'll be adding new "cute" pictures when they grow some fur. They'll be available to go home on February 27th. They all have black eyes and I'm expecting mostly white fur with some small blue, black, or agouti markings. We'll see soon if my guess is right.
