Christmas Ratties!

UPDATE: All our babies have gone to their new homes. Stay tuned when we'll have a new litter in February!

We had two BEAUTIFUL litters that will be weaned and ready to go home on December 11th! Email me to reserve yours: rexburgrats @ gmail.com (remove the spaces). Most of the babies are $5, but the dumbo-eared are $10.

These babies have been handled constantly from the hour they were born and are so friendly and playful. They will make excellent pets. Rats are naturally social, so they do best in groups of two or more. If you already have a rat or two at home, a new baby rat will be welcomed into your group.

HOME! RESERVED FOR ASHLEY! Bane (male, agouti, capped with blaze) $5

HOME! RESERVED FOR HANNAH! Hershey (male, chocolate, berkshire, dumbo) $10

HOME! RESERVED FOR LEXI! Bingley (male, fawn, capped with head spot) $5

HOME! RESERVED FOR LEXI! Checkers (male, agouti, capped with blaze) $5

HOME! RESERVED FOR ASHLEY! Alan (male, fawn, berkshire) $5

HOME! RESERVED FOR SOPHIE! Comet (male, agouti, capped with tiny head spot between the ears) $5

HOME! RESERVED FOR ADA! Moonbeam (male, high white, dumbo) $10. Moonbeam has a spot of color on the back of his ear. We think the color is likely Russian blue agouti, but it's not enough color to be certain. He comes across as a black-eyed-white.

HOME! RESERVED FOR SOPHIE! Rufus (male, beige, berkshire) $5. Rufus isn't sleepy. His eyes hadn't yet opened when we took this picture. They're open now, and he's adorable, of course.

HOME! RESERVED FOR DANIELLE! Darcy (male, black, berkshire) $5

HOME! RESERVED FOR ASHLEY! Sir Arthur (male, fawn, berkshire) $5. We can tell Sir Arthur apart from his brother, Alan, by the white on his back leg. And he's not sleeping, either, but his eyes were not yet open when we took this picture, just like Rufus.

HOME! RESERVED FOR DANIELLE! Henry (male, fawn, hooded with blaze) $5. Henry's eyes were just barely open when this picture was taken.

HOME! RESERVED FOR SOPHIE! Sammy (male, black, berkshire, dumbo) $10

HOME! RESERVED FOR CAYLEN AND NICK! Charley (female, chocolate, berkshire) $5

HOME! RESERVED FOR CAYLEN AND NICK! Marjorie (female, beige, capped, bareback) $5

HOME! RESERVED FOR STEPHANIE! Margaret (female, Russian blue agouti, capped with blaze) $5

HOME! RESERVED FOR TAMMY! Jane (female, beige, masked, dumbo) $10. It's hard to see Jane's mask because her color is so light.

HOME! RESERVED FOR RACHEL! Astrid (female, fawn, hooded with blaze) $5

HOME! RESERVED FOR STEPHANIE! Kitty (female, chocolate, masked) $5

HOME! RESERVED FOR TAMMY! Hanukkah (female, agouti, capped, dumbo) $10

Six Rats Available!

*All of these rats are now home with their families. Stay tuned for more litters in the near future!*

We've got six adorable, playful, healthy, happy rats available. They are $5 each, and if you're interested, just email me!

rexburgrats @ gmail.com (take out the spaces)

HOME! RESERVED FOR CRISTINA! Ebony, male, 6 weeks old, black, berkshire
Ebony is so sleek and playful. He loves to ride on shoulders and find treats. His brother is Ivory, and Ebony and Ivory would love to go home together!

HOME! RESERVED FOR CRISTINA! Ivory, male, 6 weeks old, beige, berkshire
Ivory is the sweetest and so beautiful. He loves to play with people or his brother, Ebony. He would love to go home with his brother!
HOME! RESERVED BY "FRESH IN" Rona, female, 10 weeks old, fawn, masked
With a mask covering her nose and mouth, we named her after the infamous coronavirus. Except Rona is awesome (unlike the virus). She is always on the move (and THE hardest to photograph), but she also really loves to be held.
HOME! RESERVED FOR R.J.! Piper, female, 10 weeks old, fawn, hooded
Piper loves her treats, and she's the chunkiest of her three sisters. Food-motivated rats are so fun to train!
HOME! RESERVED FOR R.J.! Cindy, female, 10 weeks old, fawn, capped with backwards blaze
Cindy is such a mellow rat, easy to hold, and loves to climb up your shirt sleeve. And she's adorable, as you can see!
HOME! RESERVED BY "FRESH IN" Dandelion, female, 6 months old, fawn, berkshire, FREE!
Dandelion is a beautiful rat, who is so friendly, smart, and as my 10-year-old daughter put it, "the best shoulder rat." She is the mother of Rona, Piper, and Cindy. Dandelion would be happy to live with any of her daughters.

New Fall Litter!

We have a new batch of baby rats (three litters, in fact), comprising of 23 pups! We've been busy holding all of them and making sure they're socialized. They are finally ready to go to their new homes. They are $5 each (except for one dumbo that is $10, and two "special" babies that are free!). Rats are very social and do best in groups, so make sure you have at least two rats.

Here's the process: Email me with your request of which rats you would like: rexburgrats @ gmail.com (take out those spaces). I will put your name on them so other interested parties know they're not available. I will send you my address and you pick them up. It's simple!

SPECIAL RATS (free to a good home)

HOME! RESERVED FOR KELSEY! Nash, the One-Eyed Pirate: male, black, berkshire (free!)
Our special little Nash lost one eye when he was 14 days old. We think his mother stepped on his face and scratched his eye. It's all healed closed and he's perfectly healthy now. Rats have poor vision anyway, so having only one eye doesn't affect his abilities at all. He acts completely normally and doesn't seem to know he only has one eye. He gets treats constantly and has turned into an adorably chubby baby boy. We love him so much and hope he can find a good home.

HOME! RESERVED FOR LILLIAN! Dumbledora (AKA Stumpy): female, agouti, capped, blazed (free!)
This miracle baby was lucky to survive birth. She stalled her mother's labor by several hours and we were worried we would lose them both. She was eventually born and both survived, but she was born with the fingers on her hand severely bruised. The fingers ceased growing, and they shriveled up (like Dumbledore, from Harry Potter). So she still has her wrist, but no fingers. She behaves just like any other rat, climbing on the bars of her cage, picking up her food, and grooming herself. She's probably our friendliest rat, though, because we've been monitoring her development, so she's been held more than most babies.
