Cinco de Mayo litter!

All these babies have found their homes. Thanks so much!

This brand new litter was born a little before Cinco de Mayo. They're $5 each and they'll be ready to go home on May 30th. They've been held constantly from the moment they were born and they will make the most wonderful pets. Rats are really social, so they always need to have a rat companion. If you currently don't have any rats, take two (or more)! If you have rats already, you can always add a youngster to your community.

Email me if you'd like one (or two or three) of these cuties! RexburgRats @ gmail.com (take out the spaces)

New litter, born April 4th!

UPDATE: All these sweet ratties have found awesome homes.

We have a new litter of rats! They are $5 to a good home. They were all handled daily from the moment they were born and are friendly and curious. They will make excellent pets! Remember that rats are highly social, so they should always have a cage-mate. If you don't already have rats at home, make sure to take two rats from me. And if you already have rats at home, the babies will fit right in.

If you're interested or have questions, email me at RexburgRats @ gmail.com (remove the spaces).

HOME! {Reserved for Kailey} Adrian - male (agouti, berkshire). Adrian, with the heart on his belly is the sweetest. An absolute favorite around here.

HOME! {Reserved for Jackie and Kylie} Alfred - male (agouti, berkshire). Alfred is our little clumsy boy. He has so much energy, but almost no coordination. He keeps us laughing.

HOME! {Reserved for Jackie and Kylie} Jack - male (agouti, berkshire). Jack is our biggest boy. He's super friendly and loves attention.

These baby rats are $5 to a good home. They'll be weaned and ready to go on February 27th. They're held and played with every day and will make wonderful pets. We had four females and six males. Rats are social and do best in groups of two or more, so please consider taking a pair in order to avoid a solitary pet rat.

A new litter, born January 30th

We had ten adorable (I know, it's a debatable term) baby rats born on Friday (four females, six males). Don't worry. I'll be adding new "cute" pictures when they grow some fur. They'll be available to go home on February 27th. They all have black eyes and I'm expecting mostly white fur with some small blue, black, or agouti markings. We'll see soon if my guess is right.

Miracle Litter Born October 10, 2014

UPDATE: All of these babies have found their homes. Thank you so much for the interest in these 17 rats and for making them your pets.

We have a new wonderful litter of "agouti" and "blue agouti" babies born here. All of them are $5 to a good home. Just email me at RexburgRats @ gmail.com (take out the spaces) to arrange to pick them up. They do best in pairs (or more), so definitely consider taking more than one. You can also add a baby or two to your existing adult pet rats. Adult rats love babies rats.

Our favorite mama rat, Stella, came from a litter of 9, and in her first litter she delivered 9 babies. Pretty average. When she was pregnant with this second litter, she was looking a bit more rotund, so I guessed she'd have about 12 babies this time around. We were pretty surprised to find 17 babies in her nest! Not only did she carry and deliver 17 babies, but all of them survived birth, and all of them are doing well to this day. What a feat! She did a great job raising these little things. It's the biggest litter I've ever had.

We have 9 females and 8 males. All of them have been handled and socialized from the day they were born. They're nothing like the (unfriendly) rats from the pet store. Both parents have the greatest temperament, so it's no surprise that these babies are also as sweet as can be. At this age, baby rats are exploring their world by nibbling on everything (including our fingers), but these little babies are licking everything instead of nibbling. Again, they take after their parents. They will make the most affectionate little pets.
