Chubby Little Orphans

Alfalfa and Darla tragically lost their mother to illness when they were just two weeks old. We had to hand-feed them on an hourly basis for about a week before they were consistently eating and drinking on their own. As a consequence, they are VERY friendly and love to be held. They're playful and bounce around like popcorn. I don't think a pair of rats has ever been more spoiled than these two. They ought to go home to folks who already have a rat, or are willing to get another rat at a later date, since they will need a companion.

Fall Babies!

HOME! Tiny Tim is reserved for Hester! Tiny Tim had a rough start in life. He seemed to be a "runt" and wasn't thriving. We thought he would pass away, but he surprised us. He now keeps up with his brothers and sisters, but he's about half the size. We think he appears to have a very small cleft in his lip that possibly impeded nursing, but now that he's eating solid foods, we're hoping he'll gain more weight. But we don't really know what his future holds.

A Litter of High Whites

UPDATE: All our baby rats have gone to their new homes! This was such a cute litter that we plan to pair up Trixie and Otto again a few more times in the future.

We have seven beautiful babies who have been held every day from the moment they were born. All of them are "high whites" with spots around their head. They LOVE to be held. They're all friendly and playful and will make wonderful pets.

They will be weaned and available on Monday, August 9th, but they need to be picked up by Thursday, August 12th. If you're interested, just email me and tell me which rats you'd like: rexburgrats @ gmail.com (remove the spaces).

These babies have been handled constantly from the hour they were born and will be so friendly and playful. They will make excellent pets. Rats are naturally social, so they do best in groups of two or more. If you already have a rat or two at home, a new baby rat will be welcomed into your group.

Valentine's Rats!

UPDATE! All 19 of these adorable babies have gone to their new homes. We're expecting our next available litter in April. 

We have two adorable litters of baby rats that are four weeks old, weaned, and ready to find their new homes. They are such wonderful babies, who have been held every day since the hour they were born. They are curious and playful and social. They love people, and they will make the greatest pets. Rats do best in groups of two or more, so make sure you take home at least a pair.
